For this recipe, I used Bovril which is an English product that I discovered during my stay in England with my sister and brother-in-law. It is a registered trademark, thick and salted beef extract sold in a rather original jar. Diluted in hot water, it can be consumed as a drink, or as a flavouring for soups, stews, or as a sandwich on bread.
